Evangelism
Evangelism is the process of sharing the gospel with the lost and leading them to a personal relationship with Christ that enables them to enter the kingdom of God. It is asking them to repent of their sins, to put their faith in Christ for the forgiveness of sins and the free gift of eternal life, and to follow Him forever as Lord.
Discipleship
Discipleship is a lifelong journey of obedience to Christ that transforms a person’s values and behavior and results in ministry in one’s home, church, and in the world. Disciples are people who have responded to the Holy Spirit’s conviction by repenting of their sins, have trusted Jesus Christ’s redeeming work for forgiveness from sin, and have begun the journey of life with Christ desiring to grow into the likeness of Christ.
Prayer
The simple definition of prayer is talking with God. If the church needing revitalization is revitalized God will do it, not humans. This is why we need to pray in faith and dependance upon God the Father.
Though they may not verbalize it, the hearts of many church members are saying, “Pastor, teach us to pray.” Corporate prayer is essential to the spiritual well-being of any church.

Ministry
Ministry is meeting another person’s need in the name of Jesus, both members of the church and non-members. Using the resources God provides, it is expressed as service to people inside the church family and expressed as missions to those outside the church. This ministry grows out of a transformed and serving life.
Fellowship
Fellowship is an intimate spiritual relationship with God and unity with other believers brought together in Jesus Christ, the way members express their “oneness” in Jesus Christ. The biblical word means “to share in” or “to come into communion” and suggests unity and community.
Worship
Worship is the response of believers to the presence, holiness, and revelation of Almighty God that transforms them into His likeness. It leads worshippers to a greater appreciation for God, a better understanding of His ways, and a deeper commitment to Him. Worship brings us face-to-face with our Creator and draws us closer to His image. Worship arises from the commands of God in Scripture and the grateful hearts of the redeemed. Worship is to the soul what breathing is to the body.
Disaster Relief
Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief is a volunteer ministry that allows people to serve in times of crisis and disaster—bringing help and hope in Jesus’ name.
Church Revitalization
What is Revitalization? The process by which any church becomes healthier over time. Sam Rainer, in his book, The Church Revitalization Checklist, makes a profound statement: “If God can save any person, he can save any church.” Rainer continues: “What Jesus does for individuals, he also does for the church, the assembly of saved individuals. If we believe any person is worth saving, we must also believe any church is worth saving. Some local churches will die. But no church should die. Every congregation of God’s people is worth the effort to revitalize.”
